Golden Bachelorette boasts ‘taking home the gold’ on streaming amid ratings disaster

Golden Bachelorette is celebrating “taking home the gold” in streaming but the premiere brought in dismal ratings, in fact the lowest in Bachelor Nation history.
Leading lady Joan Vassos kicked her premiere off by bringing fans to tears as she explained how she lost her husband John but things got juicy as she began to meet her 24 men, some of whom had creative entrances.
Now, two days after Joan’s inaugural season premiere, the official Golden Bachelorette account has boasted being No. 1 on Hulu’s Top 15.
They posted a screenshot of the show on Hulu and captioned it with: “You could say we’re taking home the gold.”
Most fans took to the comments section to praise the show and its premiere, with one person writing: “Yes!!! It was amazing! Joan and ALL the men are amazing people.”
Another added: “It was soooooo good! Best night one I’ve ever seen,” as a third said: “WHAT JOAN DESERVES !!!!”
Others were still salty about Bachelorette producers making Season 21 leading lady Jenn Tran watch her romantic proposal to Devin Strader despite the pair being recently broken up.
One fan fumed: “You need to apologize publicly to Jenn and the entire audience for not properly screening your cast. I hope there are no bad eggs in this bunch.”
Before Joan’s season even premiered, fans were threathening to boycott after everything Jenn went through during her season finale.
One stated: “No one was waiting for this tonight ABC. Way to sweep over Jenn’s traumatic night to push views to this. I thought this season was about transparency and inclusivity but it seems like the same old thing.”

Another angry view wrote: “Jenn should place a lawsuit to abc, what we watched today, forcing her to watch the proposal was way way too painful for her. This is cruel and someone has to pay for this.”
A third fumed: “Wow considering not watching after the way you tortured jenn.”
The Golden Bachelorette celebration of their Hulu win comes as the premiere saw the lowest ratings in the franchise history.
On Reddit, fans revealed that the show actually opened to the worst numbers in franchise history, according to TV Series Finale.
While some blamed the show airing on a Wednesday night, others shared that they couldn’t bring themselves to watch because of the aftermath of Jenn’s season and the drama with Devin.
“I just can’t watch after what happened with Devin. It’s nothing about Joan, or her cast, or anything to do with her,” one person commented. “I hate that it might be spun that way, but it has EVERYTHING to do with production and Devin.”
“I really want to support Joan but I cannot stomach what they might put her through after what they did to Jenn. I’m sitting this one out too,” another said.
